As I’m writing this blog post I’m deep in introspection mode. A time for completing 2021 and welcoming in 2022.

What exactly are you welcoming into your 2022?

I’m not a fan of goal setting, instead I set intentions. This time last year I set the intention to become a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) with the International Coaching Federation. My second coaching qualification.

I incorporated it into my weekly schedule under the personal development pillar. Intending to have it all wrapped up by July 2021 but it turns out it was a little more complex than I imagined. In fact, it took me until December to complete the process, woohoo!

If I had set the goal to complete the certification by July 2021 then it would have felt like a mini failure to have taken another 5 months. However, setting the intention simply means I’m aligning to that intention and when I’m fully aligned it will be completed. I love this way of working!

I always re-visit my life values in January as a way to bring into consciousness how I am really living my life. As a result, last year I decided I wanted to focus on living more sustainably so I added sustainability to my top 5 list. One of the big changes in regular behaviour was collecting and recycling our teracycle waste.
