For a moment, everything feels upside down and disorienting. Like you’ve stepped into The Magic Faraway Tree and landed in the Land of Topsy-Turvy, where nothing behaves the way you expect.

And yet, this is often the exact moment your truth becomes clearer.

When life compresses you, it reveals you.
What’s actually important to you right now?

But the hierarchy can feel unclear, because all of them matter.

Sometimes work wins.
Sometimes family wins.

Like a constant negotiation.

Until I came across this piece of research by Tim Urban (2015):

By the time your child turns 18, you will have spent approximately 93% of the in-person time you will ever spend with them.

And yes, there are exceptions.
And no, there is no judgement on what you choose to prioritise.

The only thing I ask is this:
Make it a conscious choice.

One action

Choose what sits at the top of your priority list, for this season.

Just for now, not forever.

Then ask yourself:
Does my calendar reflect it?
Do my boundaries protect it?

One without the other is just intention.
