Probably the most powerful question you can ask yourself

What is it all for?
I mean, your career pathway is far from easy and anyone who’s been in this game a while will know what a rollercoaster it can be.
So, why do it?
More on that in a moment. Firstly, I have a confession to make.
This Coffee & Notes email was supposed to go out on a Friday morning…and yet here we are, one week late…
The truth is, I have consciously been recovering and replenishing after an incredibly full on 4 months. Two words that I would have rolled my eyes at 5 years ago.
I could have stayed up extra late to get it done BUT that also didn’t feel right. I made a promise to myself when I started my own business that having retired Superwoman, I wouldn’t operate from that place to get things done. I could have pushed through but instead I’m showing up in your inbox when I do have the time, space and energy to write and asking you – why you do what you do?
The two are actually connected.
For me, running my own coaching and training business allows me to focus on my values of making a difference and family.
Making an impact in a way that feels fulfilling where I can see and feel the difference I make every single day.
And the energy to enjoy the people and things that mean most to me.
Impact without burnout.
Whatever your reason is for choosing a career that makes a difference, a positive impact, knowing it and reminding yourself of it, is a powerful way to keep yourself on track, particularly on those hard days.
I highly recommend that replenishing your energy is in there somewhere (whatever that means to you)!
