What a week!

Firstly, a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who went out of their way to support the launch of my first book last week. I had so many lovely emails and messages, it was truly wonderful.

If you missed the action last week here’s a roundup.

Intentional Careers for STEM Women: Six strategic steps to balance, confidence and fulfilment hit Amazon #1 bestseller in all three categories and also went into Hot New Releases.

I travelled to Microsoft’s UK HQ in Reading for a book launch event hosted by Lily Satterthwaite, Regional Lead and Co-Lead of the Global Technical Women’s Committee. Lily has been a true ally and advocate of my work and even wrote the foreword for my book. You can preview the 35s event clip here, yes Microsoft have their very own library in-house!

A very special podcast episode was released featuring Nir Eyal, former Stanford lecturer, behavioural design expert, and international bestselling author of Indistractible: How to control your attention and choose your life. He also wrote the front cover praise quote for my book.

  1. In this episode we talk about how being distracted is a decision point and how to make time for traction instead based on your value system.
  2. Nir gives a much-needed formula for releasing the guilt of taking time to yourself.
  3. He gives an outstanding response to my final question on advice, alongside a very valuable answer to one of my community members on how to avoid doom scrolling when your place of work requires you to use two-factor authentication using your mobile.

Book launch event with keynote at Abbotts Labs for their ESG network on part two of my book – a new way to authentic confidence. It’s always nice to get feedback that the participants would have liked a longer session.
